Hello, can I help you with something? I'm busy cleaning up after Independence Day. The last few days have been nice but there is always some cleaning up after every celebration. Also, our irrigation system is not working. Someone should get a shovel and start digging while I'm cleaning up here. And if you would like to have a fancy dinner you can bring some fresh fish and some vegetables.
Finish
Oh, thank you so much for your help. This means a lot to me. I cooked a dish, help yourself. Come in in the morning and bring the newspaper with you.

Good morning! Thanks for the newspaper. Let's see ... um ... some very old notes were found in Fort Mencer, probably from the time of revolution. I wonder what was found there. They write here that they are looking for volunteers to help search the fort to find the buried treasure. Why you are smiling? Are you gonna go? Before you go to the fort, would you help me to repair the fence? During the celebration of independence, something heavy must have fallen on part of the fence and now it is broken. Oh, and John wanted something from you.

Hi there, it's good that you are here. I have to go to Newport and I will be away for a few days. And of course just now, 5 wanted bandits have appeared in our area. I thought about you. Not only will you help me, but you'll also earn a few pennies for catching the bandits. What do you think? Before you go, one more thing... I've heard you helped Henry with the irrigation system. Unfortunately, the system in the eastern part of the city would also have to be repaired. Will you help?
Finish
Thank you very much for your help! As a thank you, I have this little thing for you. Thanks to you, I can safely go to Newport. Oh, I can see you found an old bullet mold set. Seems to be in good condition. Take it with you to the fort, you might need it, who knows.

At the entrance to Fort Mencer, you are greeted by the commander Richard. In his hand he is holding a rather old piece of paper with a sketch that looks like a map. On the back it was written that there were a few items buried here. The owner of the letter was soups to get them back after the fight, be are not sure if he did it. Fort commander Richard introduces you to the rest of the team . He has decided that you will be exploring the western part of the fort.
Finish
After a long day of searching the west side of the fort, all you found was scraps of cloth and a few rusty forks. When you put the found items into a special box, you leaned your hand against the stone wall. At that moment you saw a hole in the floor. Could it be a mysterious corridor? You will most certainly want to go down there tomorrow.

In the morning you notify Richard about the found tunnel. If there are corridors, they may match the found map. They were probably secret corridors through which food, water and weapons were transported during a war. And if we suppose correctly, there are for sure a whole lot of things left behind that today could decorate the walls of a museum. The commander decided to go down there with you to look around and check if the tunnels are safe and that they will not collapse on your heads. However, in order to get down there at all, the commander asked you to prepare a few things.
Finish
Commander Richard: Be at the tunnel in 15 minutes! See you there!

The descent into the tunnel has no stairs and the ladder that was there was quite old and nobody would want to risk their lives by using it. First you need to build a new ladder therefore you will need nails, wood and a hammer.
Finish
During the construction of the ladder, you and the team discussed why the stairs into the tunnel weren't built. Stone stairs would be more durable! After a long debate, you came to the conclusion that if the enemy found the corridors and wanted to get through them, it would be much more difficult for them to enter the fort without a ladder. They might even think it was a blind corridor leading to nowhere. If there were stairs, the enemy could easily find the hidden passage and cross it.

Start
The moment has come when you go down into a dark corridor using a ladder that you have made yourself. The commander will follow you into the tunnel. The corridor seems very dark with a small stream of water running down the bottom. You decide to go deeper into the tunnel when, after a few hundred meters, a fallen stone is blocking your way. This is the moment when you will need your pickaxe. After many hours of digging and pulling the stone to the surface, you open the corridor to the other side. However, in order for the tunnel not to collapse again, it would have to be secured. You will need a lot of wood for this. In addition, to go further, you need to build a bridge, because there is a 3 meter gap between you and the other side.
Finish
It took all day for you to secure the tunnel and build the bridge. Time to rest and come back again tomorrow. Despite so many challenges, you have had a bit of luck today. During the work, you found 5 bonds.

You are in the same place as a day before. You cross the bridge that you have built and a few hundred meters further the corridor splits. You decide to go right and the commander Richard turns to the left. After almost an hour of hiking and collecting a few old rusty sabers, you find a revolver lying on the ground. You bend down to pick it up, but you feel something else at your fingertips. It looks like wood buried in the ground. You dig around and an old wooden chest appears in front of your eyes. Looks like it's been here a long time. A few minutes later, Richard appears behind you.Commander Richard: I found a passage to the surface and a couple of crates full of ammo and rifles. Ooooh ... I see you found a chest! Is it the chest? Let's take it out to the surface. And others will go further, check the rest of the corridors. You take the chest to the surface and open it. And indeed it was the chest with the treasure.
Finish
Commander Richard: Thank you for your time. Thanks to you, we found a lot of hidden treasures and we learned more about the history of this place. As a souvenir, I wanted to give you some items from the chest you found. If you ever want to come back here for further research, I will always find a job for you. Hope to see you again.

Are you back already? How's your search? I look forward to hearing the story! You take a tea box and a cup out of the bag. Henry is really surprised with the items you showed him. You say that you found secret corridors under Fort Mencer with a chest buried inside, in which notes and documents from Boston were found. There was also some tea in the chest and some souvenirs from Boston Town meetings. The documents describe exactly what happened in Boston just before the revolution and how the tea supplies were sunk. In those days, tea was very important not only for the British but also for the colonists. This is a very interesting history lesson. Maybe next year we will prepare something on this topic? And you know what, this drawing you have here reminds me something... remember this bullet mold set that you found? It looks exactly the same! I have an idea, let's prepare a dinner for our friends, where you will tell everything about your search in Fort Mencer once again over coffee and a good food. Will you help with the preparations?
Finish
Looks like we are ready. We can invite Maye, Waupee and Johnny.

You decide that you will sell all items to your friends and you will donate the income you get to building the school, so that the next generations can learn and discover the beautiful history. Henry bought a box of tea, Maya bought a tea cup, John bought a bulled mold set while Waupee chose sketches and notes.
