Welcome to my saloon. My name is Henry Walker, I'm the barkeeper. I have a few quests for you, they will help you on your journey. But before I serve you my homemade Whiskey, you should dress up a bit more appropriately. To change your clothing you have to click on your inventory on the top left. To put on your grey rags just click on them. Come back to the saloon when you've done this.
Finish
Yes, this looks a lot better! Now, could you please take this bottle of whiskey to Sheriff John Fitzburn?

What? I have said this before? Oh well... I guess I'm getting old. You must understand, I have been standing here for more than ten years now, showing you the ways of the Wild West. I have even grown my first grey hair! You have learned a lot in that time and so it gets more and more difficult to come up with new tasks and challenges for you. Anyway, you are not a greenhorn anymore, you have turned into a strong and tough fellow here in the prairie. Do you remember when you entered my saloon for the first time? I can still see it as if it was yesterday. You asked for a glass of milk, but tripped over the doorstep and bumped into John. And he spilled his bottle of whiskey, haha! Do you remember how angry he was? Haha! Oh, wait a second. While we are talking about the good old times, something has crossed my mind. There is something I've never told you about. But now... after all this time... I guess you are ready to hear it. However, before I start this tale, could you please bring me some potatoes and a cooking pot? Unfortunately I sold my pot to the mobile trader by accident and now I have nothing left here in the saloon to cook lunch with. And you should not get out of practice helping me out, right? But please, don't go to Crystal Town for it. I've heard that the Travelling circus is currently performing there and in all the bustle the shops will certainly be out of stock.
Finish
Good job! You still know how to fetch things. The last guy I sent off to get some potatoes brought me oranges instead. What a greenhorn!

Ah, what a great meal that was! The potatoes were delicious! Now, let's talk about what I have mentioned earlier. About ten years ago, just on the day we met for the first time, a man showed up, shortly after you left the saloon. He wore long, black clothes, covered his face with a bandana and behaved quite mysteriously. He gave me a heavy chest sealed with three big locks, and told me to hand it over to you as soon as you are strong and experienced enough to survive in the Wild West on your own. I had to swear to him to not tell you about it before. Otherwise, he said, our lives would be in great danger. Then he disappeared. Actually, I never wanted to tell you about it, because I was afraid of what might be inside the chest. But now, after all these years... well, I think you became resilient enough to deal with it, whatever it might be. I want to leave the chest with you now. Then I have one worry less for the day. Let's get it, I hid it in my barkeeper's shoe cabinet, behind a loose plank. We will probably need some tools to get it out - and nails, in case we have to patch up the plank afterwards.
Finish
There it is. But, well, I guess you have to find the keys to open it. I am sorry, but that's all I know about it. He never said where the keys are. Come back as soon as you have them, then we can open it together. Good luck!

After having a look at the back of the first lock, you are sure: You need to visit the Travelling Fair. Henry told you that it is performing in Crystal Town right now, so you hit the road. When you arrive, you look around for something that might be some kind of key, but you don't see anything that looks like one. You even ask all the circus performers you meet, but nobody has an idea where you might find the key. When it gets dark, you disappointingly decide to give up. It probably was a silly idea to come here and look for a key which is ten years old, or even older. While mounting your horse, you suddenly hear a well-known sound.Monkey: Ook. Ook..? Ook, Ook!You turn around and cannot believe your eyes. There is a monkey in a cage - and it has a key in its hands! What a strange coincidence! But now you don't have time to think more about it, you have to get that key. And you know what to do.
Finish
The negotiations were not easy, but finally, and after a lot of back and forth, the monkey seems to settle for the corn and leaves the key to you

A compass that points to the East? This must mean the East Point! You mount your horse and head East. After some time you finally arrive. The legendary signposts of the easternmost point still tower up into the sky. You look around, but you don't spot anything that seems to be helpful or could give you a hint on the whereabouts of the key. As it gets dark, you decide to stay and set up a campfire.
Finish
Somehow there was only strange wood in the area, with a peculiar smell. You have never seen this kind of wood before, it probably only grows here, in the East. Anyway, the campfire burns brightly. You make yourself comfortable and soon fall into a deep sleep.

You are sound asleep, as the darkness surrounding you gives way to a bright light. Dazed, you look at the glare and do not believe your eyes. Is this really a big, brown flying tie? You look around you and discover some more flying ties in different colors in the vicinity. What the hell is going on? Suddenly you hear the sound of a choir, as if a thousand high pitched voices fall into a mantra.Choir of ties:"One Tie to rule them allOne Tie to find themOne Tie to bring them allAnd in the darkness bind them.Blessed are the many disciples!"Confused, you stare at the ties, unable to speak. Your whole body is shaking. This is just a dream, isn't it? Panic spreads through your body. You better show some respect and try not to annoy the ties.
Finish
After you have paid tribute to the ties, the big brown one starts to speak.Almighty Brown Tie: I am the Almighty Brown Tie, Patron Saint of Neckbands, Creator of The West. Remember this: When The West gives you oranges, don't make lemonade. Wear a tie instead. That's all I can say. Then you wake up. Panic-stricken, your eyes scan the wilderness, illuminated by the campfire. No ties for miles around. Phew! You look at your fire and notice a strange smoke rising from the wood you collected before. What kind of wood is this? Is it causing hallucinations, or what?

It was a small thank you gift from me to you, after you drove away the bandits from the saloon. So, let's use the tobacco recipe again. First of all, we need a vessel. Let's forge a cauldron.
Finish
Good, this one should do. I will start with the preparations, if you could please get the ingredients in the meantime? This time, we'll make twice as much, because I want to speak to Manitou too. Come back to me when you have everything we need. And don't forget the private ingredient!

Good to see you! I ordered a new sort of whiskey from the region around the Amazon river. It was supposed to be delivered today, but I have not seen the postman yet. Did you see him? No? Looks like I'm going through a streak of bad luck... Oh, what do you have there? Are these my old handcuffs? I had already missed them! I probably lost them some years ago when I was trying to arrest a few rowdies who fell trees and clogged a river. But there were just too many of them, so I ultimately had to retreat.Anyways, do you remember when we transported my predecessor, Mr. Plummer, to the prison in the old silver mine? That was about ten years ago. He has now served his sentence and is supposed to get out today. I got the job to pick him up and transport him from the jail back to the court, where he will be officially released. I thought I'd better decline the job and take a day off since I didn't have any handcuffs, but since you have brought them back to me now, I have no excuses anymore. Can you accompany me? Great! Let's order a stagecoach. Oh, wait. Unfortunately my telegraph line is damaged.
Finish
Good job, it's working again! I will write to the stagecoach agency. Please be quiet, I have to concentrate.... NEED A STAGECOACH... THREE PEOPLE... AT THE SALOON... NON-SMOKERS...Well, that should do it. Let's wait for the coach. Unfortunately, I have no cash with me. I must have lost it when I arrested a pickpocket. I had no handcuffs, as you know. Can you help me out? $500 should be enough. After some hours of waiting, you see a cloud of dust in the distance as the stagecoach finally arrives.John Fitzburn: Now that's what I call a coincidence! It's the same coachman as ten years ago! Looks like he has not found another job yet. Well, you know what that means.

Hello, Mr. Coachman! Please take us to the prison in the silver mine and then back. Another person will get on board there. As you can see, we wear the correct shoes. My friend here will pay the bill at the end. Thanks!{PLAYER_NAME}, please look out for suspicious people approaching the stagecoach on our way to the prison. Even if we do not transport any prisoner yet, it could of course happen that some of my fans appear and try to get an autograph from me. It can get very annoying to be a famous hero like I am. And do not forget, we'll need another pair of shoes for Mr. Plummer.
Finish
No incidents happen during the journey and to John's disappointment, no fans show up either. You pick up Mr. Plummer and bring him to the court where he is officially released.Mr. Plummer: I'm free again! Ah, the great smell of freedom! By the way, Mr. Fitzburn, have you ever caught my accomplice with whom I ambushed the stagecoaches? No? Too bad... I don't even know who he was. He was of a strange sort, but he excelled in making strategic plans and was the leader of the ambushes. I always thought it was him who betrayed me in the end and revealed my identity to the local sheriff. And there is something which is even stranger... One day, he told me to keep this piece of paper and give it to the person who finally brings me back to court with John Fitzburn's handcuffs, in case I would be taken prisoner. Do you have any idea what could be the reason? I often looked at this piece of paper, but have not been able to understand the meaning of these symbols. Anyways, I'll entrust it to you now.You take a look at the note and see the following:

Billy, the Blind Eagle: "I was told that I would meet you here one day. After all these years of shame it is finally time for my revenge! But this time we won't just duel each other. I have quit my duelist and bandit's career after our last encounter. No, this time we will play poker. There was a great man who has prepared and trained me for this day, and I have been spending a lot of time in casinos over the last years. I am now a distinguished poker master! This same man also gave me an important note that I do not understand. I am supposed to hand it over to you, in the unlikely event that you would win. However, if I win - which is much more likely, to be honest - then you will have to tell all people in the Wild West how great I am and forget our last duel."It's been a while since you last played poker. In the past, Henry's saloon offered the opportunity to play poker games for some funny money. Unfortunately, Henry ended this lucrative business about five and a half years ago and ceased to offer poker games. You always wondered why, maybe the authorities told him it was illegal? However, you have a hunch that you will only be able to continue with your search if you defeat Billy and get this note. Therefore, you accept his challenge.
Finish
After everything is prepared, the game begins. Billy does not play bad, but not as good as he had bragged he'd be. You draw an Eight of Clubs, an Ace of Spade, an Ace of Clubs, and finally an Eight of Spades. In horror, you stare at the hand. That dirty, rotten poultry! Carefully, you move your other hand towards your belt where your colt rests. Do you really wear this special belt today? What a coincidence! However, you don't have much time to think about this.

You feel that you are nearing the end of your quest. The book with the Chronicles of The West cannot be far away anymore. You are about to unlock the greatest secrets of your time, even greater than the secrets of the Golden Set. There is so much you could do with the answers. However, when you arrive at the marked spot, a large boulder blocks the way. Some dynamite and gunpowder is needed to blast away the obstacle. Do you still remember the chemical formula for gunpowder?
Finish
With a loud bang, the rock cracks and the path is open. It leads into a cave. On both sides of the way you can see a lake. Finally, you reach a small cairn of stones. On it, there rests a strange, luminous object. You grab it and hurry off to speak with Henry.

You show Henry the book and roughly explain how you found it. Then you open it solemnly. A bright light emerges and blinds you. This book must be something very special. The pages are made of old document paper and the first page is beautifully decorated. You browse on, but soon you become disillusioned. The book is very old, a lot of pages faded and mildewed by the wet air of the cave it lay in during all these years. It seems impossible to decipher them.Barkeeper Henry Walker: "Oh, no! The pages are unreadable, how disappointing is that? We were so close on finding out about all the secrets that have always bothered us... Why are there unicorns on clouds? Why do donkeys matter so much here? What are the Drama Queens hiding behind their mustaches? We'll never know... Wait. There is one page that is still readable: A recipe for a secret birthday cake. It increases the rejuvenation and is especially fun during celebrations. Sounds interesting. Should we try to bake it and eat it to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our first meeting?"
Finish
Barkeeper Henry Walker:"These were a lot of ingredients! But the cake looks delicious! Come, let's invite our friends, Maya, John and Waupee and celebrate this day! Don't worry because you couldn't find any hidden secrets in the book, there are a lot of things that are much more important. Our life out here in the Wild West is not really all about the myths or the pursuit of wealth and fame. It's about our long-standing community and the many friends we met here and with whom we have already gone on so many adventures, like this one. The journey is the reward. To the next ten years!"
